OneNote: save transcripts, recaps and notes to your notebooks
How do I save transcripts, recaps or notes to OneNote from Green Weka?
Green Weka makes it easy to save your important business records, like call transcripts, recaps, in-person conversations, dictations, and action items, directly to your Microsoft OneNote notebooks. This works with both personal and work accounts, so you can keep everything organised in the place you already use.
What it does
You can send:
- Call transcripts (with summary and action items)
- Recaps of calls or conversations
- In-person conversation transcripts (from Conversations)
- Dictations
- Action items (as a checklist)
- Free-form notes you dictate or type
Each of these becomes a new page in the OneNote notebook and section you pick. The page includes all the details: who it was with, when, the summary or overview, action items, and the full transcript or note. You’ll see a "OneNote ✓" chip on anything you’ve already sent, and you can click it to open the page in OneNote on the web.
How to use it
From the dashboard or app:
- On the calls list, tick the calls you want, click Export, then choose Send to OneNote. Each call becomes its own page.
- When viewing a transcript, recap, dictation, or conversation, look for the Send to OneNote button.
- When exporting action items, you can send the whole selection as a single OneNote page.
You’ll be asked to pick a notebook and section. Green Weka offers a "Green Weka" notebook and section by default, or you can pick any notebook you already have. You can type a new section name if you want, and Green Weka will create it for you. Your last choices are remembered for next time.
By voice or chat assistant:
- Ask, for example, "save that call to OneNote", "save the recap of my call with Zoe to OneNote", or "put a note in OneNote: meeting with the team went well".
- The assistant saves it into your remembered notebook, in a section named for the type of record (Calls, Recaps, Conversations, Dictations, or Notes). If the section doesn’t exist, it’s created for you. If you name a notebook, it must already exist in your OneNote.
You can also ask what notebooks or sections you have, or set a default notebook and section for future saves.
What a OneNote page contains
Each page includes:
- The date and time
- Who it was with (for calls and conversations)
- The summary or overview
- Action items as checkboxes
- Events (if any)
- The full transcript or note
- A link back to Green Weka
Tips
- Use the "Green Weka" notebook to keep work notes separate.
- Name your sections for easy searching, like "Calls" or "Recaps".
- The "OneNote ✓" chip lets you jump straight to the page in OneNote on the web.
Limitations
- Pages can’t be updated or deleted from Green Weka. If you send the same record again, it creates a second page.
- It can take a few seconds for each page to appear in OneNote.
- Links always open OneNote on the web, not the phone app.
- Sometimes new pages show as "Untitled Page" in OneNote’s sidebar for a short time. This fixes itself soon.
