Outlook Calendar: events, bookings and your day
How do I use Outlook Calendar for my appointments, bookings and daily schedule in Green Weka?
What it does
Green Weka connects with your Outlook Calendar, making it easy to manage your appointments, bookings and daily schedule. You can see your events, add new ones, move or cancel them, and get a quick summary of what's coming up, all by voice, chat or a tap.
Once connected, you can:
- Ask your assistant what's on your calendar today, tomorrow, or any date.
- Find events by name, like "when's the Nissan booking?"
- Add new events by saying things like "book me in for a quote at Ocean Road Thursday at two".
- Move or cancel events by name (the assistant will confirm before cancelling).
- Get a morning briefing that includes the rest of today and tomorrow's events.
- Use the one-tap "Outlook" button beside Google Calendar and iCal on events found in calls and emails. This creates the event in your Outlook Calendar with a 15-minute reminder, and the button turns into "Outlook ✓".
How to set it up and use it
1. Connect your Outlook Calendar: Go to the Active Connections card in your dashboard and add Outlook Calendar. Personal and work accounts are supported. This is a separate connection from Outlook mail.
2. Add events from calls and emails: When Green Weka finds an event in a call or email, you'll see Outlook, Google Calendar and iCal buttons. Tap the Outlook button to add the event to your calendar instantly. You'll get a 15-minute reminder by default.
3. Ask your assistant: Use your voice or the chat assistant to:
- Hear what's on your calendar today, tomorrow, or a specific date.
- Find an event by name or location.
- Add, move or cancel events. The assistant will confirm before cancelling anything.
- Get a briefing that covers the rest of today and tomorrow's events.
When you ask about your "calendar", "diary", "appointments", "meetings" or "am I free", Green Weka checks your Outlook Calendar. If you ask about "jobs" or your "job schedule", it checks Fergus. A bare "what's on tomorrow" reads both and gives you one answer.
Tips
- You can use natural language: "what's on my calendar Friday?", "move my dentist appointment to next week", or "cancel my meeting with Sarah".
- If several events match your request, the assistant will list them so you can pick the right one.
- The one-tap Outlook button is the fastest way to add events found in calls and emails.
- The assistant always checks your live calendar, so you get up-to-date answers.
Limitations
- You can't add attendees or send invitations from Green Weka yet. Events are just for your own calendar.
- The Outlook Calendar connection is separate from Outlook mail, you need to connect both if you want email and calendar features.
- Only events in your default Outlook Calendar are managed.
- If the assistant can't find or read your calendar, you'll get a message to try again later.
Green Weka makes it easy to keep your day organised, whether you're in the office, on site, or on the move.
